Power Bank Rental Terms of Service
Last Updated: March 2026
These Terms of Service govern the rental and use of portable charging batteries (“Power Banks”) dispensed from automated rental stations operated by Alpine Charging Solutions Incorporated, located in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
By completing payment and renting a Power Bank from one of our stations, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.
I. Rental Service
Alpine Charging Solutions Incorporated provides portable Power Banks for temporary rental through automated self-service stations.
A rental begins when a user completes payment through the payment terminal attached to the station and a Power Bank is dispensed.
The renter is responsible for the Power Bank from the moment it is dispensed until it is properly returned to a station.
II. Rental Fee
The rental fee for the service is the stated rental price displayed on the station or payment interface at the time of rental.
The applicable rental price is charged at the time the Power Bank is dispensed.
III. Rental Period
The rental period begins immediately when the Power Bank is dispensed from the station.
The Power Bank must be returned to a compatible slot in a station operated by Alpine Charging Solutions Incorporated within one (1) day (exactly 24 hours) of the original rental time.
Once the Power Bank is inserted into a station slot and accepted by the system, the rental is considered complete.
IV. Refund Policy
All rentals are final and non-refundable.
Once a Power Bank has been dispensed from the station, the rental transaction cannot be cancelled or refunded, regardless of the length of time the device has been in the renter’s possession.
Returning the Power Bank within one (1) day (exactly 24 hours) of the original rental time ensures that the renter is charged only the standard rental fee displayed at the station.
V. Non-Return, Loss, or Damage
If the Power Bank is not returned within one (1) day (exactly 24 hours) of the rental time, the Power Bank will be considered purchased, lost, or stolen, and the stated replacement charge displayed on the station or payment interface will be applied to the payment method used for the rental.
The same replacement charge may be applied if the device is lost, stolen, destroyed, materially damaged, or otherwise not returned in usable condition.
Upon application of the replacement charge, ownership of the Power Bank transfers to the renter.
VI. Proper Use of Equipment
The renter agrees to use the Power Bank only for the purpose of charging personal electronic devices.
Users shall not:
- open, disassemble, or attempt to repair the device
- puncture, crush, or intentionally damage the lithium-ion battery
- submerge the device in water or other liquids
- expose the device to fire, extreme heat, or hazardous environments
- modify, tamper with, or alter the device in any way
- use the device in a manner inconsistent with normal consumer use
Improper handling of lithium-ion batteries can result in overheating, fire, explosion, or personal injury.
Any misuse or damage resulting from such actions may result in the replacement charge described in Section V.
VII. Safety and Assumption of Risk
Power Banks contain lithium-ion battery cells and must be handled responsibly.
By using the device, the renter acknowledges that improper use, including but not limited to puncturing, crushing, submerging, disassembling, or exposing the battery to extreme heat, may result in equipment damage, fire, or personal injury.
Users assume all risks associated with misuse of the device. Alpine Charging Solutions Incorporated shall not be responsible for injuries, damages, or losses resulting from improper use, mishandling, or modification of the Power Bank.
VIII. Limitation of Liability
Power Banks are provided “as-is” and “as available.”
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Alpine Charging Solutions Incorporated shall not be liable for damages arising from the use or inability to use the Power Bank, including but not limited to:
- damage to personal electronic devices
- loss of data
- interruption of charging services
- injury resulting from improper use or misuse of the device
- indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
In all circumstances, the total liability of Alpine Charging Solutions Incorporated shall not exceed the amount paid for the rental.
IX. Payment Processing
Payments are processed through third-party payment terminals.
Alpine Charging Solutions Incorporated does not store, collect, or process payment card information directly. Payment data is handled by the payment processor in accordance with their security and privacy policies.
X. Privacy
Because rentals are completed through a payment terminal, Alpine Charging Solutions Incorporated generally does not collect personal identifying information from users.
Any information collected through payment processors is governed by the privacy policies of those processors.
XI. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
